Introducing Eva v3.0!
I’m going to ramble a bit, so most of you can just enjoy ogling the renders, but artists might be interested in what I have to say about streamlining the models I use.
When I first started making 3DX I based Zara on Victoria 7 and Eva on Aiko 7. This worked fine for a while, until a few months ago when Daz released Genesis 8. This meant new character models that are much more advanced than their previous iterations.
Because Victoria is the flagship character sold by Daz, Zara was easy to upgrade since the new Victoria model was available on the day of release of Genesis 8. But Aiko 8 is still nowhere to be found. So when rendering images with both of my star characters, you could notice that Zara looked noticeably more advanced than Eva.
It’s also important to note that certain morphs/packages/whatever will work on certain characters and not others. Take for example genitals: the female gens I bought for Victoria 7 were not applicable to Aiko 7, so I had to buy an add-on to get them to work.
What I’ve done with the new Eva is base her off the new Victoria 8, modified with my personal shaping parameters. Going forward, all of my characters will use Victoria as a base so I can upgrade everybody at the same time, using the same morphs, with the same add-ons. This will streamline upgrades in the future, and prevent any odd looking renders with a generational divide between characters, and hopefully make things cheaper for myself going forward.
Eva herself is not quite finished, since I want to change the skintones of all my characters so there’s a nice diversity. But that is for the future!
